The Quintinha de São João has at your disposal thirty-four rooms, six suites and three junior suites.  In each room, there is a distinctive separation between the sleeping area and the living area, emanating a magnitude of spaciousness and comfort.  From the terrace, it is possible to overlook the beautiful gardens of the Estalagem, and be overwhelmed by its grandeur.

The decoration unites the traditional Madeiran embroidery with exclusively designed furnishings, majestically evoking an atmosphere of sophistication and luxurious comfort, where the guest is made quickly to feel at home.

The rooms are equipped with the most up-to-date facilities, namely air-conditioning, safe, mini bar, bathrobes, hairdryer, cable television, internet access and direct telephone.

Restaurant

The Restaurant “A Morgadinha” is situated in an adjacent building to the Quintinha de São João, and is of traditional Madeiran architecture. It delights its visitors with a large variety of regional and international delicacies, from where we emphasise Goan cuisine as the speciality of the house, guaranteeing, therefore, a delicious repast in a welcoming ambiance.

Bar

In the “Vasco da Gama” Bar, savour moments of pleasure, refreshed by the many specialities on offer and embellished with an amazing view over the bay of the city of Funchal.  By day or by night, it is an imperative stopping place.

For small groups who are looking for a cosier hotel in which to hold their business meetings or incentive trips, the Estalagem Quintinha de São João has a multifunctional room, which converts into a conference room with a capacity for 35 persons. 

Swimming Pool & Sundeck   

The temperate climate of the island lends itself perfectly to the opportunity of leisure pursuits and relaxation in the outdoor swimming pool.  Situated on the second floor of the main building, there is at your disposal, an airy sundeck that provides a breathtaking view over the sea and mountains.

 Niches, Nooks and Crannies  

Reading is one of those enduring activities for those on holiday and needs to be relished in moments of relaxation with total tranquillity.  A hallmark of the Estalagem Quintinha de São João, is the “niches” which are to be found everywhere.  Being small, comfortable and inviting, the outside world becomes insignificant.   Carefully decorated with antique furniture from times gone by and beautiful pieces of Portuguese porcelain, the “niches” give us the sensation that we really are at home.

Other

For those looking for a more active holiday, the Quintinha de São João also offers a sauna, fitness room and games room equipped with a snooker table, table tennis, and two tables upon which to play chess, draughts or cards.
